Ms. Jenkins hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada where she attended public schools. She worked as a paralegal for 10 years, while earning her B.Ed (92), B.A. (92) , M.Ed. (94), and M.A.(97). Ms. Jenkins taught 6 years in teacher education during and after completing doctoral work at McMaster University (2000) in Canada. While teaching in South Korea (2002-2005) she met her husband, a born and bred Baltimorean. Ms. Jenkins has been teaching Mathematics in Baltimore since 2006, at Digital Harbor High School (2006-2015) and most recently, at Seton Keough High School where she taught PreCalculus and AP Calculus and served as Mathematics Department Chair until June 2017.
Ms. Jenkins is looking forward to recruiting top math students for the National Math Honors Society and building a statistics program at Archbishop Curley. She is also an avid hockey and baseball fan and looks forward to supporting Curley athletes. Carrie, a dual Canadian and American citizen, spends her vacation time, and a significant portion of her social media communications, with her three grandsons, her children and her other family in Canada.
