Curley Gets First Win in Walk-off Style

Curley defeated Mt. St. Joseph 5-4 on a walk-off homerun by sophomore Tyler Locklear (#13) in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Trailing 4-2 entering the bottom of the seventh, Curley (1-4 overall, 1-3 MIAA A) got singles from Derrick Booker and Zeke Maldonado, with Booker eventually coming around to score on an error. Then, with one out, sophomore Tyler Locklear smashed a walk-off two-run home run.

Trent Gast-Woodard also had a pair of RBI’s for the Friars. Jeff Calderon started for the Friars. Colton Knoble got the win, pitching 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.
