For the sixth time, the Schola of the Curley Choir took part in the "Bach in Baltimore" concert series at the Christ Lutheran Church in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
The Curley students sang selections by both European and American composers, including a piece that had been composed for the Curley Choir, "All Creatures of Our God and King" by Philip Ledger. Included among the other works performed were "I Will Lift My Eyes to the Hills" by Mark Hayes and "Danny Boy," an Irish melody in a setting by Gregg Gilpin.
After the concert, Mrs. Rebecca Fanning, manager of the "Bach in Baltimore" series wrote to Mr. Michael Gaffney, Director of Choral Music at Curley: "I just wanted to take a moment and thank you and your choir for their participation and outstanding performance on Sunday evening! Your program was incredibly well-received, I heard nothing but good things from audience members, and we are so glad to have this continued partnership with you and your incredible young musicians. We wish you all of the best as you continue with your season, and we hope to have you join us again soon!"
