THE ARTS AT CURLEY
Art is the process or product of deliberately and creatively arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions. In its narrow sense, the word art most often refers specifically to the visual arts, including media such as painting, sculpture, and printmaking. However, "the arts" may also encompass a diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression, including music, theatre and literature.
At Curley, students are challenged to explore this side of themselves, discover and develop their talents and channel their creative energies in a variety of ways.
Students are presented with the beauty of the visual arts and music, and invited to appreciate those ways of viewing the world.
At a deeper level, they are challenged to acknowledge their talents and hone their skills in drama, choral or instrumental music, writing, painting, drawing or photography.
Expressing their talent through theatre productions, through concerts, and through art exhibitions allows them to share their gifts with the rest of the Curley community.
