LIBRARY ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Library Advisory Council is a group of students and teachers who represent in the Library the interests of different groups in the school community.

LAC members help to plan and implement activities that bring the school community into the Library in ways that enhance the educational, intellectual and recreational experience of the students, for example, Poetry Slams, Banned Books Week, and the Black-eyed Susan Readers' Choice award for the state of Maryland.  We also encourage members to contribute their own talents to  the Library in creative ways of their choosing, for example, improving our website, choosing materials for our collection, or maintaining our computers under the direction of the Librarian and the Technology Director, among other possibilities subject to approval.
