Oumar Ballo '10 -- Two-time All-American

It is an honor to be named “All-American” by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.   What does it say about a player, to be named TWICE!
Oumar Ballo, a senior at Archbishop Curley, is the only high school men’s soccer player to repeat as All-American in the State of Maryland.   He is one of three to receive the All-American honor in the state  this year.
Oumar adds this to an already impressive resume.  This is the third time he was selected All-MIAA and All-State and the second time he was selected All-South and Baltimore Sun All-Metro.  A part of the Curley team that won the MIAA Championship in 2007, Oumar has been the rock of the defense for several years.  But that has not prevented him from scoring three goals this season.  Coach Stitz is impressed with Oumar as a player and as a person:
“Oumar has been an impact player for us since the first day he stepped on the field as a freshman.  He always works hard and is fearless in his play.  Most importantly he’s been a good teammate and will really be missed next season.”

Oumar also plays for the Baltimore Bays Under 18 Academy Team.  He has verbally committed to attend Loyola University of Baltimore next fall.
