Peace and all good things! Thank you for taking some time to visit the Archbishop Curley High School website.
As a Catholic, Franciscan high school, we are focused on and dedicated to the development of our Curley men. Living by the mission of our school, we are committed to the intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development of each student. We recognize the presence of God in all of our actions, thoughts, and deeds. We encourage each young man to live his life by following the Gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Our college preparatory academic program is designed to help a diverse student body learn and apply that knowledge to enhance their lives and enrich society. Every student accepted at Archbishop Curley High School has the potential to achieve in this college-preparatory environment. With three distinct academic programs, Anthony, Cupertino, and Franciscan, we are able to ensure that each student is placed so that he is challenged to succeed and provided with the support he needs. Technology is utilized to enhance each student’s learning experience. All of our teachers have tablet pc’s, every room is fitted with a plasma screen or electronic whiteboard, and we have two computer labs for student use. Our curriculum is designed to prepare each student for the challenges of college and beyond.
As our Mission Statement says, “promotion of service to the larger community” is an integral part of Curley life. Our Mission-4 service program challenges students to move beyond their “comfort zone” through outreach to the marginalized. While the learning that happens in the classroom is important, we strongly believe in extending that learning experience beyond our school’s walls. Our Mission-4 Program allows students to serve others and, at the same time, encourages them to grow spiritually and truly connect with the people in our local community.
Our co-curricular program is as diverse as our student body. This program adds to the total development of Curley students and is an extension of their academics. We offer 12 interscholastic sports in the competitive M.I.A.A. Conference with levels of play from fresh-soph to varsity. Our award-winning choral and instrumental performing arts and visual arts programs are an important part of our curriculum. A variety of clubs are offered to our students which give them a chance to broaden their horizons and have fun.
Archbishop Curley High School is an excellent Catholic, Franciscan high school with a dedicated faculty.
