PARENTS' NEWS

Mr. Barry Brownlee, Principal of Archbishop Curley High School, attended an Archdiocesan Planning Meeting to prepare for the H1N1 flu season.   He would like to share the information he received.   To read his report, click HERE.

Students in grade 9 and grade 12 will be participating in the National Catholic Education Association Assessment of Catechesis/Religious Education (NCEA ACRE).  This assessment will serve as a tool for assessing the effectiveness of our religious education program.  The assessment will take place the week of October 18, 2009 for students in grade 9 and the week of April 19, 2010 for students in grade 12 The testing will take place in the religion classes. The ACRE test will not be used in computing the student’s Religious Studies grade. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at dlutolf@archbishopcurley.org

Welcome to Curley's Website!   We hope this website is helpful to you, as well as to your son, as you accompany him on this part of his life's journey.   Because we value your role in this endeavor, and because we believe you are a part of who we are, we invite you to have your own "Curley experience."  Below you will find links to some pages we think will be of particular benefit to you.  But don't limit yourself to just those.   Take a few minutes to explore our new website and view the many pages and pictures that reflect the Curley experience.  Join us at some of our events.   Become active in one of the parents' organizations.  And thank you for choosing Curley for your son's education.


PARENTS OF PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS


Parents of students considering a high school education at Curley are invited to go to the Admissions pages.   There you will find much information pertinent to your son, including our application process and financial information.  

Please have your son fill out the Prospective Student Form so he can receive emails about upcoming events and he can fill out the application online.

PARENTS OF CURRENT STUDENTS

There is much information for parents of current students on Curley's website. 

The Back To School page lists orientation dates, information about textbook ordering, information about Freshmen Retreats, and other items of interest for returning to Curley in August.  Classes begin on August 30.

For the Summer Reading List 2010, click Summer Reading.

All parents are encouraged to join the Parents Guild.  This organization supports the general mission of Curley as it affects your son's education.  Read the monthly Parents' Guild Bulletins that are posted on this website.  To go to the Parents' Guild Bulletins, click HERE.

Academic information can be found on the Students tab.  Under this tab, you will find the Guidance Department Web pages with Curley's graduation requirements, the process for applying to college, as well as other helpful hints.

You fill find the sports teams schedules and results under the Athletics tab.   If you are interested in joining other parents to support your son's team, join the Friar "C" Club.

If you are a patron of the arts and enjoy music and theatre, check out the Arts tab and see the performances that are scheduled.   If you are interested in joining other parents in supporting the music, drama or art programs, join the Curley "C" Notes.
