Catholic Schools Week: Morning Prayer with the Cardinal Shehan School Choir

On Thursday of Catholic Schools Week, the Curley community assembled for Morning Prayer in the Suehle Auditorium. This Morning Prayer, however, was a little different.

The Cardinal Shehan School Choir joined us to celebrate Catholic Schools Week and they started by singing "Rise Up," a song they performed on "Good Morning America" that went viral. Ryan Waskiewicz then offered prayers for students, teachers, administrators and parents of Catholic Schools. The Choir then performed "Blessings in the Air" and got the student body clapping and cha-cha-ing in their places. Fr. Donald concluded the Morning Prayer with a word of thanks and a prayer of blessing.

This group of young people from Cardinal Shehan School on Loch Raven Blvd. sang with spirit and energy and enthusiasm. The Curley students, faculty and staff gave them a standing ovation. A brief reception for the choir was held in the Conference Center before they departed.
