Live Stations of the Cross

During Holy Week, at the end of Lent, the Live Stations of the Cross is experienced by the students, faculty and staff of Archbishop Curley High School.  This is one of the Curley traditions that has its roots in the Franciscan traditions of the Friars. For centuries, the Friars promoted the “Way of the Cross” as an opportunity to connect with Jesus on that fateful Friday when he suffered and died for love of humanity, for love of us.

It is traditionally the senior class who produces the Live Stations, and the Class of 2019 did an awesome job.  Kyrian Elekwachi and Tobi Majekodunmi were the narrators. The Curley Choir provided music that was interspersed at various times between the stations.  In the role of Jesus was Chidi Iwudyke .  The supporting cast and crew included:

Soldier 1- Mike Vargas
Soldier 2-  Connor McSharry
Soldier 3-  Thomas Skrynecki
Simon of Cyrene-  Kennell Washington
Ponitus Pilate- Sam Yakim
Voice of Francis and God and Cory Roberts
Stage Crew- Brayden Wise, Garrett Wilson, Wyatt Peters
Lighting- Pat McDonald, Alex Petr
Mary- Allison Woodring (Catholic High)
Veronica- Ms. Meeri Kangas
