Ms. Jenkins hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada where she attended public schools and completed her undergraduate (B.Ed., B.A.) and graduate (M.Ed., M.A.) education. Ms. Jenkins taught 6 years in teacher education during and after completing doctoral work at McMaster University (2000) in Canada. Ms. Jenkins has been teaching Mathematics in Baltimore since 2006, including 9 years at Digital Harbor High School and at 2 years at Seton Keough High School where she taught PreCalculus and AP Calculus and served as Mathematics Department Chair until the school closed in June 2017.
Since coming to Curley in 2017, Ms. Jenkins has sponsored the MuAlphaTheta National Math Honors Society which runs a peer tutoring program and a math club. She is an avid hockey and baseball fan and enjoys supporting Curley athletes. Carrie, a dual Canadian and American citizen, spends her vacation time, and a significant portion of her social media communications, with her three grandsons, her two adult children and her other family in Canada.
