Curley Celebration of the Feast of St. Francis

October 21st, 2021 | Posted By: Greg Malanowski | Posted in Alumni, News, Parents, Student Life

St. Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan Order, is celebrated in the Church on October 4th.  As patron saint of Archbishop Curley High School, St. Francis Day is special to the Curley community.

Traditionally, a service called “The Transitus” is celebrated on the evening of October 3rd to commemorate St. Francis’ death.  Due to Covid restrictions, the Transitus this year will be virtual and go live on Sunday, October 3rd at 7 PM.  Use the link below:

On Monday, October 4th, the school community will celebrate Mass.  In addition, FYM will be selling ice cream sundaes during all of the lunch period. They will cost $2 and will be discounted to $1 if a student is wearing their Tau Cross. We will also be trying to raise food/money for Assisi House in Fells Point. Please consider bringing in individually wrapped snack items or money to donate on Monday.
