Welcome to Curley Summer Camps! Our goal is to provide fun, well-supervised educational and recreational activities for our campers. All of these camps are conducted on the campus of Archbishop Curley High School. Archbishop Curley High School is conveniently located at the corner of Erdman Avenue and Sinclair Lane in East Baltimore. It is easily accessible from the neighboring counties as well as the city and is just minutes away from I-895, I-95, and Route 40. The 33-acre campus offers a wide array of athletic playing fields, state-of-the-art fitness center, gymnasium, computer labs, and a fine arts center.

SPORTS CAMPS
Baseball Camp–Each day we will do defensive work in the AM and hitting in the PM. There will be a focus on position specific drills defensively. We will spend time for hitting on t-work, front toss and hitting live on the field.
Dates: June 26-28, 9 AM – 3 PM (Rain make-up day is June 29) Ages: Boys ages 9-16

Lacrosse Camp-Participants will be engaged in various drills and fun activities including competitions, games, and expert individual & group instruction for all skill levels.
Dates: June 19 – 23, 9 AM – 1:00 PM For BOYS entering grades 4 – 9 in fall of 2023 (all skill levels)

Soccer Camp-Archbishop Curley Soccer Camp provides expert soccer instruction without forgetting soccer camp is supposed to be fun. Fundamentals as well as advanced techniques of the game will be taught on an individual level with group instruction mixed in.
Dates: Session 1: July 10 – 14, 9 AM – 12 Noon For BOYS & GIRLS entering Grades 1-8 in the fall of 2023.
Session 2: July 17 – 21, 9 AM – 12 Noon For BOYS ONLY entering Grades 8-10 in the fall of 2023.
Soccer Goalkeeper Camp-This position specific camp will focus on the last line of defense and the first line of offense in soccer: the goalkeeper. A progressive approach that teaches and develops strong fundamentals building confidence through proper repetition is at the core of our fun but challenging method.
Dates: July 10 – 14, 8 – 9 AM Boys and Girls entering grades 4-8 in the fall of 2023

Tennis Camp-Participants will be learning basic tennis skills, sharpening form and swings, and tackling the mental aspect of the game. Regardless of previous experience or skill level, they will participate in tactical drills, conditioning, and matches.
Dates: June 19-23 9 AM – 1 PM For Ages 8-16.
Track Camp-Participants will work on their running technique and will be introduced to race tactics and mental focus practices. All running distances will be coached and analyzed. Recommendations for best running shoes based on individual physique and preferences will be provided.
Dates: June 26-30 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM For all ages.
Volleyball Camp-Providing expert volleyball instruction including the fundamentals of the game such as passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and serving. The rules of the game will also be presented as well as competitive strategy and the opportunity to play the game.
Dates: July 17-21 9 AM – Noon (Camp held in air conditioned gym) For Boys and Girls Ages 11-15

Wrestling Camp-Open to all wrestlers, all ages. Novice to Advanced. 5 nights of instruction on fundamental and advanced techniques. Guest instructors to be announced.

ACADEMIC CAMPS
College Essay Summer Writing Workshop-The College Essay Workshop at Curley is designed for students to brainstorm, draft, edit, write and complete their college essay. Students will be working with Mrs. Berrigan, who has read and edited hundreds of essays, to create a unique essay of their own that will help them to stand out. With SAT scores being optional in the college admissions process, a personal statement can help a college get to know the student better. Join the workshop to get your essay done before school even starts!

French Camp–Participants will use music, songs, and short films to learn more about Francophone culture. This camp offers an option for beginners with no previous knowledge to intermediate students to acquire and improve verbal skills to help them understand French better and easier. Spanish Camp–Time to review and solidify your Spanish! This summer camp offers all the vocabulary and grammar as well as the fun for beginner to intermediate students to allow them to apply it in real-life situations and polish up their speaking skills through games, music, and stories. *FOR BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE LEVELS* **For Intermediate grades, middle school, and freshmen*
