Archbishop Curley High School, located on the east side of Baltimore City and serving the metropolitan area, seeks a principal beginning July 1, 2021. A Roman Catholic college preparatory secondary school with a Franciscan tradition, Curley serves a diverse all-male student body.

Opened in 1961, its programs include St. Bonaventure Scholars, Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment, Project Lead the Way, the St. Anthony Program for those with learning differences; chorus and variety of bands; teams in the MIAA and 14 sports; a full range of clubs and co-curricular programs; National Honor Society; Franciscan Youth Ministry; student government.

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will be a practicing Catholic; have a Master’s degree in education; a minimum of five years of experience in education, with preference for secondary and Catholic school experience; have a track record of leadership and the readiness to work collaboratively with the school president and other administrators; hold an Admin II certification. The candidate should be a leader who can manage a variety of priorities and projects, communicate well with constituencies, and have the skills to listen, delegate and hold others accountable.

Admissions Administrative Assistant
Job Description,  November 2020

The full-time Admissions Administrative Assistant reports to the Admissions Director and is someone who is able to manage multiple tasks and to work collaboratively to achieve the school’s enrollment goals. The Admissions Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the Admissions Office including, but not limited to, data entry, file maintenance, phone communication, and the reception of visitors. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Admissions Staff with recruitment programs, supporting events, and communicating with constituents. The Admissions Administrative Assistant must possess a high level of discretion and integrity as well as computer literacy and effective communication skills. The Admissions Administrative Assistant must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Responsibilities:
• Meet and greet visitors and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the Admissions Office.
• Manage the Admissions Database and coordinate data sharing with the Main Office. This includes maintaining and inputting all prospective student information into the database and preparing necessary enrollment management reports as needed.
• Prepare permanent files for all incoming students and collect all transcripts and paperwork from application through registration.
• Answer all phone inquiries for the Admissions Office.
• Organize and distribute mailings.
• Schedule student visits and prepare for their welcome.
• Collaborate on the design and production of all printed and electronic communication pieces including all materials for Admissions Office events.
• Coordinate volunteers for Open House, Admissions Events, and other office needs.
• Assist in the planning and execution of all Admissions Office events including the preparation of necessary materials.
• Maintain office supplies, collateral materials, and office hospitality needs.

Job Qualifications:
• Experience preferred
• Proficient user of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and with discretion.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a high-tempo environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, data-analysis and multi-tasking skills.
