Our EV students attended a field trip to Tim’s Automotive and Towing on January 24th. It was an incredible experience for them!
Tim Bonner ‘83, owner, gave them a firsthand look at a working auto shop and explained the future of EVs. He also discussed a current legislature that is being debated and how it can impact society and the auto repair industry positively and negatively.
During the trip, the students had the opportunity to explore the battery and motor of an Electric Mustang Mach E and a Toyota Prius Hybrid with their lead EV Technician, Mike Hoover.
One important lesson the students learned was the importance of continual training to keep up with the changes in the industry. We are grateful for the knowledge and insights Tim and his staff shared with our students.
Thank you once again to the wonderful staff at Tim’s Automotive for your support in making this field trip possible for our students!
