Archbishop Curley is proud to be participating in the Special Olympics Cool Schools Plunge again this year! This year will feature a two part event…the SGA will be taking the plunge at Sandy Point State Park tomorrow for the Cool Schools event, but our faculty and staff participants will STILL be participating in the crowd favorite plunge event on Curley’s campus too.
Next week, the following staff members will have different levels of water dumped on them based on the amount of money they have raised. This year’s participants are: Mr. Billy Benton (2023 reigning champion!), Mr. Randy Noppinger, Mrs. Kathy Schucker, Dcn. Tim Maloney, Mrs. Emily Vandergriff, Mr. Owen Edwards, Mr. Mark Muth, Mr. Jeremy Joseph, Mr. Steve Streckfus, Mrs. Kim Burton (2024 Teacher of the Year!), Mr. Ayd, Fr. Chris Dudek, Mr. Phil Forte, and Mr. Stephen Mince. Donations can still be accepted on our online school team fundraising page– https://support.somd.org/team/546881 .
As a school community to date, Curley has raised $2,393.25. We are hoping to surpass last year’s grand total of $3,200 raised for Special Olympics! More pictures to follow of the SGA students plunge tomorrow and the teacher’s plunge will be live streamed next week. Stay tuned for more information to follow! We thank you in advance for your support and we hope you tune in next week for our live event.
