The AC Jazz Ensemble performed at the inaugural UMBC/Naptown Jazz Festival on Saturday. The band was joined by bands from all over the state and region, including a fantastic group from outside Philly, LaSalle College High School.
Even though this was not a competitive event, section and soloist awards were given. Congrats to the Curley Jazz trumpet section for top trumpets, and outstanding soloist awards went to Skylar Harvey on tenor sax, Raphael Rubia on guitar, and Andrew Jordan on bass. The guys represented Curley very well, on and off the stage.
