Students in the Principles of Biomedical Sciences class had an incredible opportunity to travel to Northern Virginia and observe an open-heart surgery firsthand at the Inova Health Health System’s Schar Heart and Vascular Institute.
They explored the anatomy of the heart, learned about medical careers, and gained insight into the protocols and procedures that go into such a complex operation. An unforgettable, real-world experience in biomedical science!
