Curley Soccer and Maryland Special Olympics

Curley Soccer proudly welcomed the Maryland Special Olympics Soccer Program to the Curley Bowl on Saturday, October 4. Throughout the morning, Curley players worked side by side with the Special Olympics athletes offering encouragement, officiating games and making sure the day was special for the three participating teams.  Beyond the field, the players shared lunch while connecting with their new teammates, creating bonds that went far deeper than the scoreboard.

We are grateful to Tim Girard, father of former Friar goalkeeper Liam Girard ’25, for helping to organize a day that allowed our players to learn, serve, and grow through meaningful interaction with these inspiring athletes.

Curley Athletics consistently demonstrates that true victory comes from lifting others up!
