February 28–March 2, a group of our Sophomore and Junior Franciscan Youth Ministry students traveled to Florida for our Franciscan Ideals Retreat—a powerful few days of faith, reflection, brotherhood, and discovery.

Throughout the retreat, students visited Ave Maria University, University of Tampa, and University of South Florida, exploring what the next chapter of their lives might look like after high school. These visits sparked great conversations about vocation, purpose, and how to carry their Franciscan and Catholic values with them into college and beyond.

The retreat also included time for Mass, Adoration, and small-group discussion, where students reflected on what it means to live lives rooted in faith, brotherhood, service, and courage in the world today. These moments of prayer and conversation helped students consider how they can continue to grow as men of faith long after their time at Curley.

Of course, the weekend also included time to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, with time together at the beach, building friendships and memories that will last long after the retreat ended.

We are incredibly proud of these young men for taking time to reflect on their faith and their future. Please continue to keep them in your prayers as they strive to live the Franciscan ideals in their daily lives.
