Bonaventure Scholars spent Saturday exploring Baltimore through the lens of Edgar Allan Poe, visiting some of the city’s most historic and mysterious sites.
Stops included the Poe Statue at the University of Baltimore, the Poe House and Museum where he lived from 1833 to 1835, the site where he was found on the street, Church Home and Hospital where he died, Westminster Hall and Burying Ground where he is laid to rest, and the Charles Carroll Mansion featuring an exhibit on his family and the circumstances surrounding his death.
At each location, students gathered clues and evidence, working together to investigate and piece together the enduring mystery of Poe’s final days.
