Mr. Joseph on Backpacking Trip

This summer, Mr. Joseph, president, joined scouts from Troop 124 for a 12-day backpacking trek at Philmont Scout Ranch. The trek covered 60 miles over rugged, backcountry terrain. The group of 31 youth and adults were divided among three crews with varied itineraries. All three crews reached the highest peak, Baldy Mountain, on the same day. The summit is 12,441 feet above sea level.
