Mrs. Schucker teaches AP Literature & Composition, Literary & Mass Media Arts, and American Literature at Archbishop Curley High School. Mrs. Schucker has experience teaching English in grades six through college and across all academic programs. She attended Catholic school from kindergarten through twelfth grade and believes it’s important for students to receive a rigorous academic education while embracing their Catholic faith. Mrs. Schucker received her Bachelor’s Degree in English/Secondary Education from Towson State University in 1996. She earned her first Master’s Degree in Professional Writing in 2001 and a second Master’s Degree in Secondary Education in 2011, both from Towson University. She maintains an Advanced Professional Teaching Certification in the State of Maryland. Mrs. Schucker taught at Archbishop Curley from 1997-2004, spent seventeen years teaching English Language Arts at a local Catholic middle school, and resumed her tenure at Curley in 2021. Mrs. Schucker is the English Department Chairperson, the Moderator of The Chronicle student newspaper, an Assistant to the Director of Blackfriars’ Theatre, and the Co-moderator of the Class of 2027. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, the theatre, kayaking, and spending time with her family.
