ALL THAT CURLEY JAZZ

Curley’s Instrumental Music Department presented “All That Curley Jazz” on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the hall of St. Joseph’s Church in Fullerton. The bands were directed by Mr. Christopher Campbell; the program for the evening was produced by Mr. David Makowiecki ’93. Bill’s Seafood presented a hot buffett.  The guest band for the evening was “Ricky Wise and Friends.”

The first Curley band to play was the Jazz Lab Ensemble.  This group is for students just starting in music and/or jazz. Upperclassmen and alums filled in as needed.
Trumpets:  Tyler Brown, Noah Greenbeck, Jack Franca.
Trombones:  Will Smith, Lucas Campbell, Nate Barton, Vince Rose.
Saxophones: David Fritz, Jacob Ruth, Jadon Salley, Chris Young ’11, Jack Denholm.
Rhythm:  Jake Brown, Tim Villanueva, Michael Mann, Logan Merkle, Andrew Jordan, Mike Streckfus.
Soundboard:  Robbie Martinazzi.

After a set by “Ricky Wise and Friends,” the Jazz Ensemble took the stage. These are Curley’s premier musicians.

Trombones: Lucas Campbell, Jake Brown, Nate Barton, Matt Creech.
Saxophones: Greg Majerowicz, Michael Mann, Jadon Salley, Chris Young ’11, Jack Denholm
Rhythm: Josh Aung, Lucas Schissler, Nathan Woods, Mike Streckfus, Tim Villanueva.
Soundboard:  Robbie Martinazzi, Tyler Brown.

The evening concluded with a set by the Alumni Jazz Band.  These alums, many professional musicians, gathered after 2 practices and did not disappoint.

We had three pairs of alumni dads and student sons at this year’s event.
